Take a tour of an ESS battery during the UC San Diego Microgrid Tour

UC San Diego is the world’s largest and most diversified portfolio of distributed energy resources, and its microgrid generates approximately 85 percent of the electricity used on campus annually. The system is also extremely cost-effective, saving the university more than $8 million a year in power costs as compared to importing the same amount of imported energy as a direct access customer.
An optional tour of the UC San Diego microgrid is planned for the afternoon of April 5th for registered conference attendees.
