ARDA Power today announced the placement of an order by ESS, Inc. for ARDA Battery DC-DC Converters. The Converters will be paired with the ESS All-Iron Flow Battery (IFB) system to be delivered under contract to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The converters and All-Iron Flow Battery (IFB) will be part of an integrated microgrid at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri, where they will demonstrate the flexible longer-duration energy storage capability for use in Forward Operating Bases (FOB).
It is anticipated that the purchase order is the beginning of collaboration between ARDA Power and ESS that will lead to embedding ARDA technology into the ESS product line.

“ESS understands the importance of the military’s mission and their requirements for robust, user friendly systems. ARDA offers a seamless, efficient, power conversion solution that will enhance our systems performance and fortify our outstanding reliability,” said Mark Hagedorn, Director of Operations at ESS.
