ESS has signed a Letter of Intent with Juniper Energy for the deployment of 500 MWh or more of sodium-ion battery energy storage systems, marking a significant commercial milestone for the company’s growing non-lithium energy storage portfolio.
The agreement establishes a framework for long-term collaboration, beginning with a 10 MW / 80 MWh project in California that is expected to utilise ESS’s Bridge™ sodium-ion battery platform and Energy Management System.
This milestone reflects the increasing demand for safe, scalable and domestically sourced energy storage solutions as utilities, AI infrastructure and critical industries continue to modernise their energy systems.
