Iron Flow Batteries Will Deliver Reliable, Sustainable Energy Down Under

This week, members of the ESS team were in Melbourne for All Energy Australia, the largest energy conference in Oceania, to educate conference-goers on iron flow technology and the role that long-duration energy storage (LDES) will play in a decarbonized energy system. ESS CEO Eric Dresselhuys reflected on the week and provided insights into the energy storage market in Australia as that country transitions to clean energy.

To control inflation in the long term, the government needs to address the underlying vulnerabilities of an economy reliant upon fossil fuels by transitioning to renewable energy and re-establishing supply chains disrupted by the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

ESS CEO Eric Dresselhuys will be attending COP27 and sharing how long-duration energy storage and iron flow technology can help fight climate change. On November 12th at 10:30am, Eric will speak on a panel at the Coral Sea Imperial, sponsored by the Conservative Climate Foundation, about the important role of innovation in providing energy security, reducing carbon emissions and the challenges and opportunities in scaling the deployment of new climate technologies.
